PyScript was just announced at the PyCon 2022!
This new framework allows users to create rich Python applications in the browser using HTML’s interface. PyScript aims to give users a first-class programming language that has consistent styling rules, is more expressive, and is easier to learn.
Python Barcelona is one of the largest and oldest meetup organisations in the city (founded in 2008 and with more than 3800 meetup members), and since 2018 it is a registered organisation with more than 40 associates.
Being a legal entity comes with benefits (easier to get funding and invoicing, members can also contribute yearly) and problems (you are expected to run the organisation like clockwork).
Running volunteer organisations like ours presents many challenges that mapping can help locate and address. In our case, it helped find potential unaddressed needs in our users, where we may not be providing enough value and to prepare a plan for surveying them more effectively.
